We've done it again, friends! Every year, Richmond.com compiles a list of the "Richmond Outdoors: Best of" goings-on around our fair river city. And for the second year in a row, Rocketts Landing events made the list!
We're thrilled with the nod to our events, as each year we see more and more people and festivities choose Rocketts Landing as their location of choice. From hosting a variety of athletic competitions to fundraisers and more, we completely dig bringing people down to the riverfront to mingle, compete and simply enjoy life, the Rocketts Landing way.

Cap2Cap Bike Ride (voted "Best of" in 2011 and 2012)
Scheduled for May 11, 2013
Cap2Cap is an annual bike ride supporting the Virginia Capital Trail Foundation -- an organization dedicated to promoting and supporting the 55-mile pedestrian and bicycle trail currently being built to link Richmond and Jamestown. Cap2Cap brings out over 2000 cyclists for a day of riding through the urban and countryside scenery along the James River. Participants can ride the entire course or just a snippet of the trail, and everyone enjoys a lively after-party at Rocketts Landing. Cap2Cap registration is open, so sign up today!
International Dragon Boat Festival (voted “Best of” in 2011 and 2012)
Scheduled for August 10, 2013
Nothing combines a cultural celebration, family-friendly affair and competitive paddling in one event better than the Sportsbackers’ International Dragon Boat Festival — and we’re stoked to see this event make Richmond.com’s list two years in a row. Part cultural festival celebrating China and part “team building” paddling fest, the Dragon Boat Festival is Richmond’s only Dragon Boat race. And each year is better than the last!
We’re excited to have two events make the list for 2012 — and we hope to have even more included in 2013! As we finalize our schedule of Rocketts Landing events in 2013, we’re certain you’ll find lots to enjoy. So be sure to check back soon for the details!
