The holidays are over, and we're heading full speed into a great start to 2013. Now, we're ready to help our residents start the new year off on a high note with yoga at Rocketts Landing!
Whether you want to uphold your resolution for better health or simply de-stress post-holidays (our restaurants are good for that too!), we have a couple of different yoga classes lined up this winter. So, don't worry about those extra holiday pounds that may have joined you recently -- the road to better health starts today!
Class 1: Gentle Yoga, 10-week class
Led by LA-transplant Hilary Scribner (whose parents also live at Rocketts Landing!), this beginning-level yoga class will help you stretch, align and restore. Scribner will focus on connecting your mind with your body through gentle positions that both calm and strengthen. Her Gentle Yoga class is suitable for everyone from beginning-level students to advanced practitioners who may want a "peaceful pace."
Hilary is a certified instructor who studied yoga in Los Angeles for eight years and enjoys offering restorative and gentle yoga for immediate health results. Hilary also teaches pre- and postnatal yoga and can be hired for private instruction.
Class 2: Vinyasa Yoga
Rocketts Landing resident Thea McCarthy, RYT 200, leads this beginner-friendly yoga class every Tuesday and Thursday in the 210 Rock gym. Her classes will help you focus on building flexibility, as well as core and upper body strength. Thea is a certified and registered yoga instructor with Yoga Alliance who’s been practicing yoga since 2007. If one-on-one instruction is more your style, she also teaches personal yoga lessons centered around your specific health goals.
Our residents-only yoga classes at Rocketts Landing have limited space and fill up quickly. And from what we’ve heard, their combination of relaxation, strengthening and toning is the perfect way to beat the winter blues (and meet fellow residents). So stop reading, and sign up today!
