Conch Republic Rocketts is certainly not holding back in offering Richmond a good time. Since opening at Rocketts Landing on April 14, they've hit the ground running and continue to pull in crowds of restaurant goers ready to experience the Key West-themed restaurant.
According to Owner Bob Cox, business is going great, and they're definitely packing in the crowds. And when he says they're packing them in, Bob's not joking. With an expansive outdoor patio overlooking the James River and downtown skyline, Conch Republic Rocketts has been in high demand, especially during these blue skies days. Bob says they've experienced three-hour waits, and "every night, if it's beautiful weather, we are packed." Even when those 100-plus degree temperatures hit Richmond, people are still demanding their patio view!
To further mark their success, Conch Republic has made some spiffy updates to their building’s exterior — including stellar new signage and a large wall mural by esteemed Richmond artist Ed Trask. They’ve also expanded their operating hours and solidified a live music schedule, which seems to have something going on almost every day of the week:
Even more restaurant updates include:
And according to Bob, the Conch Fritters appetizer, Blackened Voodoo Nachos and Grits and Grillades are some of the most popular menu items. So, if you’ve not experienced Conch Republic Rocketts, be sure to head on over to Rocketts Landing and get conch’d!
