Enjoy RVA River Time at Rocketts Landing Marina

July is here and so are the endless RVA river days. Richmond's beloved James River turns into a summer playground filled with kayaking, canoeing, fishing, boating, jet skiing, swimming, rock hopping, sunbathing, to name a few -- and the Rocketts Landing marina offers the perfect access to hop in a boat and enjoy the waters! As Richmond's only downtown marina, we offer a variety of ways to enjoy boating and a dockside summer lifestyle.
Annual Leases
Own a boat but need a place to dock her? The Rocketts Landing marina has annual slip leases available, open to residents and nonresidents alike. We offer a variety of different slip sizes -- and with our community's riverfront restaurants right out of the marina's front door, you'll have instant access to our delicious eats, perfect for a river-time picnic!
Transient Slips
For folks who like playing on the river and want to visit our community (or Richmond) but don’t need an annual lease, we have transient slip rentals available on an hourly, daily, weekly or monthly basis. You can rent the slip ahead of time or simply pull your boat up and arrange a rental with Dockmaster Chris Ostergren. Leases vary by slip size and length of stay, but one thing is the same throughout: You’ll have so much fun visiting our community and RVA, that you just may never want to leave!
Boat Rentals
If boating interests you but owning the boat doesn’t, then consider checking out the Carefree Boat Club of Richmond (formerly the Mariners Club). By joining their membership organization, you get access to a variety of boats docked at the Rocketts Landing marina for a flat fee — perfect for getting in your river time without the worries of keeping up with the boat, filling the boat with gas, cleaning the boat … get the picture?
We also have a new dockmaster working the marina! His name is Chris Ostergren, and he’s the ears, eyes and hands keeping a helpful watch over the Rocketts Landing marina. Should you need help accessing your boat, filling gas, or addressing other matters, he’s ready to make sure your needs are met — and that the marina is kept in the tip-toppest of shape. We’re excited to have him join the Rocketts Landing team and believe you’ll enjoy knowing him, too!
